Are you expecting too much of yourself?
This worksheet is great for those who get annoyed and frustrated with themselves for not being able to do everything they ‘need’ to do.
If you have a lot of shoulds coming up: I should be able to do this too! I should have enough time to do these things, I shouldn’t feel exhausted. Then this worksheet will be a great one for you.
It's also worth noting when you find yourself comparing how you use your time to others, that you do not have access to their full life and what is going on. IF they are getting more things done than you, they will probably have help with this in some form or another. I have written IF in capitals, because many people will list off the things they have done/achieved but often exaggerate this list.
You may wonder as to why I have included “do this require decision making?”. With every decision we make, we use up a little bit of willpower and capacity to do the small things such as answer an email or do something we enjoy. So every decision make will directly impact how much we get done in a day or week. It’s really important to consider all of the mini decisions you make too: when to take a break, when to pop to then shop, if you should put a coat on today or not, what to wear, what to have for lunch etc. All of these decisions will gradually deplete our willpower throughout the day.
